It's that time of the year again when the week-long fashion show in New York will once again gather top designers, models, and celebrities from around the world. The New York Fashion Week is starting on September 7 with various surprises.

The grand fashion event is not just prepared for the models and designers even celebrities are gracing the stage. The New York Post reports that international pop singer Rihanna is once again appearing on the runway on Sunday, September 10 with a brand new collection.

She has appeared in the Fenty and Puma collection during the past two seasons.

This time, she is expected to show a chic Parisian collection to fashion enthusiasts.

Aside from Rihanna, Kanye West has also confirmed to appear at the New York Fashion Week after his stint on the runway last year. The New York Post also said that details about when and where his show will take place still remain a mystery. The husband of Kim Kardashian has been at the center of social media buzz recently, as his rival Taylor Swift released her newest single.

The show

The New York Fashion Week will run from September 7 to September 13, featuring both classic and budding designers in the United States. The first show on Thursday comes from siblings Christopher and Nicholas Kunz, who both founded the line Nicholas K.

According to the runway show’s official website, the two will feature outdoor-inspired fashion and collections that are both “versatile and transitional.”

The week-long show will end next Wednesday September 13, with a show from young designer Liu Jia. She founded the first original independent brand called “COMME TU ES,” which has been renowned in Beijing and Shanghai.

Named as one of the top designers in 2015, she has held her shows in Paris as well.

Several brands are also participating this year. These brands include Desigual and Chocheng, and there will be a special show dedicated to hit reality series “Project Runway.”

Outrageous venues

According to the New York Post report, some of the designers are stepping up their game in regards to their runway venues.

Designer Tory Burch will use the Smithsonian Design Museum this Friday, while another designer, Lela Rose, will use Washington Square Park next week. Movie director and designer Tom Ford will do his show at the Park Avenue Armory.

Ford’s runway event will feature his Fall 2017 collection, followed by the first main after-party of fashion week this year. His show, according to the article, will be headlined by celebrities Naomi Campbell and Julianne Moore.
