Melania Trump is gearing up for her first solo international trip overseas. Melania has accompanied Donald Trump on two trips overseas so far, and now she'll be flying solo to represent the United States in the Invictus Games, a para Olympic type event for injured servicemen and women. The First Lady announced the news, via a White House statement, today.

"I was heartened by the great success of the inaugural Invictus Games that took place in London in 2015, and the second games in Orlando, Florida last year," she said, via a statement. "I am honored by the opportunity to represent our country at this year's games," she added.

Melania will have to do a little more research

Vanity Fair points out that Melania Trump may have to do a little reading up on the Game's history before her departure, however. The inaugural Invictus Games, founded by Prince Harry, were indeed held in London. However, they took place in 2014. In fact, there were no games at all in 2015, contrary to the White House's statement. Fortunately, Melania Trump and her team have nearly two months to prepare for her visit, which will hopefully go off with out any incidents like her recent trip to Hamburg, Germany, where she was barred from leaving her housing due to angry protesters.

Will Melania Trump trash talk with Prince Harry?

While there, Melania Trump will likely meet with Prince Harry, just as Michelle Obama did in 2016.

To garner public excitement for the event, Michelle and Barack Obama exchanged some playful banter with Prince Harry.

"Hey, Prince Harry, remember when you told us to bring it at the Invictus Games?" asked Michelle Obama.

"Careful what you wish for," added than President Barack Obama, accompanied by a collective boom.

Prince Harry enlisted the help of his grandmother, The Queen, to respond to Michelle and Barack's taunts.

In a response video, Prince Harry and The Queen were seated, looking through a brochure when he appears to have received Michelle's video.

"Oh really, please," was the Queen's response, followed by a "boom," from Prince Harry.

It's unclear if Melania Trump and Prince Harry will have a similar exchange this year, but anything is possible.
