‘Blacklist’ season 5 release date confirmed

While the spinoff, “Blacklist: Redemption” has failed to make it, NBC has renewed “Blacklist” which will return to the network on October 4, 2017.

Blacklist” has always aired on Thursday nights at 10 p.m., but things have slightly been changed as NBC has a lot of programs in the queue. And yes, you will be happy to know that James Spader is returning as Red Reddington.

Despite enduring a steep rating decline that made its fate less-than-certain in 2017, NBC nonetheless has committed to a full 22 episodes for next season.

‘The Voice’ to air a three-night premiere

Den of Geek reveals that the singing competition will premiere for three consecutive days, Monday to Wednesday. As a result, the new episodes of “Blacklist” have been pushed until October 4.

Plus, Friday night of September 29 kicks off with “Dateline NBC.”

There was a time when NBC would premiere two hours of “The Voice” every Tuesday, but now there is a less of a desire to do that because “This is Us” and “Blacklist” are the most successful shows to date.
