Justice League” actor Michael McElhatton says that the film has humor, but the opening scenes are completely dark. While speaking to Comic Book, he revealed that he was offered the main role in “Justice League” immediately after the success of “Game of Thrones.”

The actor took several months to negotiate the character and script with director Zack Snyder. When asked if the teaser trailers and posters are a good representation of what we can expect in the film, McElhatton replied that it is a complete family movie with lots of humor and action sequences.

The whole team has worked hard, and fans can keep their expectations high. However, the first few scenes are slightly dark, giving an impression that it’s a horror movie.

‘Justice League’ – the film

Justice League” is one of the most anticipated superhero movies. The story is inspired by a novel of the same name, and Warner Bros. Pictures acquires the US distribution rights. It is the fifth, and probably, the final installment in the DC Extended Universe.

Director Zack has joined hands with Chris Terrio for the movie dialogues and script. Ray Fisher, Willem Dafoe, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Diane Lane, and Jeremy Irons are returning from the last installment. Jesse Eisenberg, J. K.

Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds are new to the cast. In “Justice League,” the filmmaker has assembled “Batman” and “Wonder Woman” team.

McElhatton in the film

The project was announced in October with Snyder on board to co-produce and Terrio to pen the dialogues. The movie will hit a theater near you this November. Promos and posters have already created excitement among fans.

Though its official release date is November 17, the film will come in 2D and 3D versions on November 25.

McElhatton says that the story is about Bruce and Diana who assemble a team of metahumans consisting of Arthur, Barry, Victor and Allen. They aim to defeat the Steppenwolf and his army who are continuously threatening to destroy the universe.

The leader of the group of metahumans is CEO of Wayne Enterprises.

He spends thousands of dollars on the safety and protection of innocents. In other words, he has dedicated himself and the money to protecting Gotham City from the underworld criminals. The project is developed with an approximate budget of $210 million and over 30 actors were auditioned for the role of Bruce with Michael McElhatton being final in the cast. Another film of this actor, “The Hallow,” will premiere this year at the Sundance Film Festival.
