Fast Food giant Taco Bell is continuing its innovative streak following its very popular and successful addition of the limited time Naked Chicken Chalupa. Yum! Brands owned and operated Taco Bell announced that it will be testing out three new menu items across the United States in the hope that one will be as popular as other past offerings.

What are the new menu items?

The Caesar Crunchwrap is as its name would suggest a crunchwrap that is filled with the customer's choice of steak or chicken. It also has Parmesan cheese, romaine lettuce, Caesar dressing, corn chips and tomatoes.

The price of the Caesar Cruchwrap will be $2.99 and it is only available in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Chicken Enchilada Burrito is filled with rice, cheese and sour cream. The kicker is that it is also filled with two rolled chicken tacos that have red enchilada sauce. The Chicken Enchilada Burrito will also be $2.99 and it is only available in Flint, Michigan.

The final new item is the Doritos Quesalupa Crunch. It is a Doritos Locos Taco that is wrapped in a cheese-filled Quesalupa shell. This item will be $3.49 to $3.99 and will only be found in Cincinnati, Ohio. Taco Bell has also stated that these three new menu items will only be until April 8th.

Taco Bell's past innovation and experimentation

The massive success that Taco Bell has had in 2016 and early 2017 with the Naked Chicken Chalupa was just part of Taco Bell's innovation and experimentation to boost sales, differentiate itself and get people talking. The best known example of this was in 2012 when the Doritos Locos Tacos were introduced, which is now a menu staple.

Last year the company also tried out other products like the Airheads White Mystery Freeze or the Walking Nachos. None of these caught on like the aforementioned Naked Chicken Chalupa though, which exceeded expectations. No end date has been announced for the item, but maybe it could become the company's version of the McRib as a limited time product that gets trotted out to boost sales and get people nostalgic.
