If you haven't made a dent in your #Christmas list and don't want to deal with the crowds at the mall, three major retailers are offering online shoppers a big perk — delivery of most purchases to your doorstep in time for Christmas Eve.

Amazon, Best Buy, Target, and Walmart are all helping holiday procrastinators out by promising to get their orders out and onto a delivery truck so they arrive before Santa and his eight tiny reindeer take off on their annual flight around the world on the night before Christmas.

Of course, there are some rules when it comes to getting your order delivered on time and there are other retailers offering similar perks, but let's take a look at the shipping deadlines for four of the nation's most popular retailers.

Deadline to get gifts by Christmas is hours away

An Amazon Prime membership is probably the best investment you can make if you are a last-minute shopper — especially during the holiday season. While non-Prime members have only until December 19 to get their orders delivered by Christmas, Prime members have a little bit longer. In some areas of the country, members can shop up until Christmas Eve and get their purchased delivered the same-day or with Amazon's two-hour delivery service. However, you may want to play it safe and get your Prime orders in by December 22 to make doubly sure everything arrives on time.

Walmart stores are extremely crowded during the holidays it's no wonder many shoppers want to sit at home and order online. If you need your gifts in time for Christmas, place your order ASAP — the deadline to receive your order by December 24 is December 21 for standard shipping or December 22 for extra-expensive rush shipping.

Best Buy is a popular destination for holiday shoppers who are buying computers, game systems, and other electronics. The retailer promises delivery of most items to consumers who place their orders before 11:30 a.m. ET on Wednesday, December 21. Many items ship for free, so that makes for some merry last-minute Christmas #Shopping.

Target shoppers get a nice treat once again this holiday season. The popular retailer is offering free standard shipping (and returns) on most items ordered online. Use the code "holiday shipping" at checkout by 4 p.m. ET on December 21 and you'll get free standard delivery by December 23.
