Let's face it, we are all seeking the ultimate answers for beautiful skin. The cost of beauty products can be depressingly high. So why not try some home remedies? 

Vodka: Now this is a new one! Mixing 1 part vodka to 3 parts water, creates a great toner and pore minimizer. 

Aspirin: Crush an aspirin, add enough water to make a paste, smooth over pimples, leave on for 20 minutes, rinse. Reduces redness and swelling.

Potato: Grate a raw potato, apply pulp to freshly washed face, leave on 15 minutes and rinse with warm water. Full of antioxidants, this encourages growth of healthy new skin.

Diaper Rash Cream: Look for one with zinc like Desitin, dab on to rid yourself of redness, swelling and pain.

Visine: Have a red spot that needs to be gone ASAP? Dab it with Visine eye drops, it will take away redness, and bring down inflammation.

Cucumbers: These miracle workers from the garden, will help fade dark under eye circles (1 slice on each eye for 20 minutes), grate a cucumber, spread pulp on face and neck, over time it will fade freckles. 

Hand Washing: Yes you read that correctly. This prevents skin dulling bacteria off of your face. 

Exfoliate: For a great DIY exfoliator, mix a squeeze of lemon juice, half a teaspoon of honey, a teaspoon of granulated white sugar, or a teaspoon of brown sugar. Rub gently on your face in a circular motion, rinse with warm water. Check out your beautiful glow. 

Aloe Vera Gel: Massage into face after cleansing for a great healing glow. 

Ice Cubes: Use an ice cube to massage your lips, it will add color and volume naturally.

Epsom Salts: Mix 3 tablespoons of Epsom Salts, with 2 tablespoons melted coconut oil, or 3 tablespoons olive oil. Stir thoroughly, apply to face and neck. Wait a few minutes, and then gently rub your face, wash off completely. This scrub works well to combat acne.

Coconut oil for acne: Use organic coconut oil, cleanse face with mild soap, wash hands, scoop a small amount into your hands, together to melt, apply to acne affected areas, massage gently for a few minutes until it is absorbed into skin, leave on a few minutes or overnight, rinse completely. Repeat regularly to get rid of pimples.
