#Howl-O-Scream has started at #Busch Gardens Tampa, and this annual Halloween scarefest has more scares than ever because no part of the park is safe. This year the roaming hordes are everywhere, including outside the gates terrorizing people trying to board the parking trams. You’re not even safe on the rides, as zombies have taken over the bumper cars and might just decide to ride along with you.

Howl-O-Scream horror is everywhere

Howl-O-Scream is not for the faint of heart because of the scares that spill out of the seven haunted houses and into the park’s pathways. Busch Gardens Tampa is dark and wooded in many areas of the park, making guests even more vulnerable to things that go bump in the night.

Those are bad enough, but you're still not safe even in the populate areas. A ghoul or zombie might suddenly appear when you're trying to sit down and relax, are waiting in a line, or are even innocently exiting a restroom.

Busch Gardens rides offer a different kind of scare

Even if you’re not fond of haunted houses, Howl-O-Scream is still a great event if you're a thrill ride fanatic who can manage to stay safe among the hordes. Many of the best rides at Busch Gardens Tampa are open throughout the night, and the lines are often short because most people are concentrated on the haunted attractions. Take a night run on Cheetah Hunt or see a 300 foot high spectacle of Tampa’s city lights before Falcon’s Fury tips you forward for the drop. If you decide to ride the park’s newest roller coaster, Cobra’s Curse, be prepared for some real-life venomous critters on display near the ride.

Howl-O-Scream ‘Fiends’ show combines scares with laughs

In addition to the rides, Howl-O-Scream features ‘Fiends,’ an annual favorite show featuring Dr. Freakenstein, Igor, and a troop of naughty nurses adding eye candy to the spectacle. Even though it has a #Halloween theme, this show is suitable even for those who get scared easily. Many of the Busch Gardens Tampa dining venues are open during the event, too, and bars pop up all over the park for those who need a little liquid courage to face their fears.

Howl-O-Scream is a hard ticket after-hours event at Busch Gardens Tampa that runs throughout the Halloween season, ending on October 30. If you opt to visit the event, you’ll have plenty to do even if you don’t go into any of the haunted houses. Just be prepared for the roving hordes to bring the terror right to you.
