#The CATW International (Coalition Against Trafficking Women) will be hosting a reception on October 5 in New York City, honoring Lynn and John Savarese for contributing to the movement to end #human trafficking, which continues to be a growing problem around the world. Lynn is a New York-based photographer. Lynn is also an activist against the practice of #Human Trafficking and co-created the New Abolitionists Campaign. Lynn's husband, John Savarese is a senior litigation partner at the prestigious law firm of Wachtell Lipton Rosen & Katz.

Scheduled to appear will be Sony Music jazz vocalist Somi, (who has been dubbed the next Nina Simone) and Grammy-nominated violinist, Robert McDuffie will entertain the guests.

The tickets range anywhere from $2,000 up to the highest level of $10,000. Yes, that's a lot of dough but it's all to raise awareness for a good cause.

CATW fights against human trafficking

The CATW is an organization that has actively been involved in fighting against human trafficking for women and girls. Their mission is to advocate and raise awareness in New York and around the world and fight for women's rights hoping to combat the horrific practice. One of the survivors expected to appear at the event, Rachel Moran will read excerpts from her book, "Paid For: My Journey Through Prostitution.Some #Celebrities that serve on the host committee are Actress Rosanna Arquette, Actress Meryl Streep, Clothes Designer Dana Buchman, Actress Mercedes Ruehl, Country Music Star Rosanne Cash, Actress Angela Bassett, Journalist/American Feminist Gloria Steinem, etc.
