Couture is the closest fashion gets to art, considering only a selected portion of society can actually afford to invest in a luxury bag or couture piece, the priority in this specific scenario of fashion is not specifically to sell, but to make exclusive art pieces that impress the audience with perfect tailoring, rare fabrics, and one-of-a-kind pattern-making.

The 3 must-see runway shows of this season

At the Grand Palais, Chanel paid tribute to the women who spend countless hours making the couture pieces a reality by making them part of this year's setting, which aimed to re-create the inside of its studio. In the audience, celebrities such as Will and Willow Smith watched the show. At the end, for the first time ever, Karl Lagerfeld stood with the artisans to thank the public.

As usual, Dior kept the show simple and breathtaking.
