Aside from guys like Vince McMahon and Triple H, more is expected out of Sami Zayn on his "Road to WrestleMania" than anyone else. He had a match against Shinsuke Nakamura on Friday Night, will attend the Hall of Fame festivities on Saturday, will compete in a Ladder Match on Sunday at "WrestleMania 32" and will undoubtedly make an appearance on Monday night. Sprinkle in some WWE Axxess appearances and other obligations, and a guy like Zayn has a lot to prepare for.

If you happen to be a member of the WWE Universe that is showing up at just as many events to cheer on the WWE Superstars, you need to be prepared as well. If you had to spend an entire day or more just getting yourself to Dallas, it is worth it to take day to settle in, without any real agenda.

While vacations are always full of surprises, having a few things in order will make the chaos easier to contain.

The food

The food served at most arenas and stadiums isn't exactly health food. Along with the convenience of fast food and vending machines, vacations that include a lot of time getting from one place to another can leave little time for well-planned (and relatively healthy) meals. But four days of high-energy events will require more than junk food for fuel. That's why I always try to eat a healthy (and complimentary) breakfast at the hotel, with plenty of fruit and protein to get started on the right foot. Cost for breakfast: $0.00.

In a hotel room with nothing but a mini-fridge and microwave, a sizable pizza delivery can last in the fridge all week, allowing for something that's at least a step up from candy and potato chips.

Such an order can last almost the entire week. It was a $35.17 total, but I believe good tips result in good karma. Total for delivery: $43.00. That's about $7/day, assuming it lasts until my departure.

Gasoline

Having just barely made it to my hotel from Perry, Oklahoma without a refill, I decided to get out of my room for a little bit and take care of it Thursday so I wouldn't have to stop before the NXT show. At $1.999/gallon in Dallas, I spent $23.64 at the pump on Thursday. Having traveled 273.3 miles on 11.826 gallons of gas, I was averaging over 23 miles/gallon from Perry to Dallas.

Lodging

The rate for Thursday night was the same as the rate for Wednesday night: $142.72.

Total spent for the day: $209.36.

Total spent for the trip: $425.67

While this may not sound like the most exciting day, getting some extra time to catch up on sleep seemed well worth it. Plus, before the day was over, I received a call from the front desk that something had been delivered for me.

For this well-seasoned "WrestleMania" traveler, allowing Thursday to be a day of rest — the calm before the storm — is beneficial, when possible.

If you're going to spend an entire week in a hotel room, it's nice to be able to unpack your things and set up your electronics so that part of your routine sticks with you. While you spend the week going from one venue to the next, marking out for your favorite superstars, driving all over a big city you aren't familiar with, establishing a headquarters-away-from-home makes it easier to collect yourself at night or in the morning as you prepare for your next "WrestleMania" adventure.

WWE's "WrestleMania 32" will air at 7/6c on the WWE Network on April 3rd. #Wrestling #Travel
