"Fortnite" Battle Royale players have been expecting a new city to be added to the game since late November last year. On November 30, Epic Games, "Fortnite" developer, revealed the new City that would be added, and while players got really excited for it, they had to wait nearly two months for it to come to the game. However, the wait has come to an end as the game developer revealed that the new city would be released in next week's update.
The update will be huge and it will add many changes to the "Fortnite" Battle Royale map. Beside the new city, players will get many new points of interest, including a motel and a scrapyard.

New city
The new city will be added close to Loot Lake, and players predict that it will be placed on the southwest side of it. The city will look unique and it will have some tall buildings, which is something we haven't seen in the Battle Royale mode. Save the World players are already familiar with the cities and they have an idea of what to expect.
According to the game developer, the new city will have many chests and ammo boxes, so there is no doubt that this will be one of the hottest drop zones, especially in the first few weeks after the update.
New named areas
Beside the city, "Fortnite" Battle Royale will receive "a bunch of new areas on the west side of the map," according to Epic Games. Players had a chance to see the teaser video of the new locations, and there will be at least two new named areas. One of these areas will have a motel and will most likely be placed north of Loot Lake.
The other area is a scrapyard and it appears that it will be put in the northwestern corner of the map.
The game developer also revealed that "Fortnite" Battle Royale will get an underground mine, but there hasn't been more information regarding it. In addition, there will be new "biomes" in the in-game world as the map will be separated into unique areas, such as swamps or mountains.

Christmas update
The game developer revealed that Christmas trees and the chests that spawn with them will be removed with the end of the holiday event. This will be done not only because the event is over, but because there will be many new chests on the map with the new points of interests, so there will be no need for the Christmas trees and chests.
