"Fortnite" Battle Royale was released in late September 2017, and ever since then, many players have fallen in love with it. The video game is free, but that is far from the only reason for its immense popularity. Epic Games, "Fortnite" developer, has done a fantastic job keeping the game updated and adding new content to it. In just a matter of few months, "Fortnite" players have received numerous updates, including new weapons and map changes, and they were all free.
Now, the team is preparing many new updates, and "Fortnite" Battle Royale players have received a sneak peek of some of them.
The next update, however, is less than 24 hours away! The upcoming update will be a big one as it will add yet another new weapon to the fan-favorite shooter game. The best part? The new weapon will have only Epic and Legendary rarities, which means that it will be incredibly powerful.
New Legendary weapon
Epic Games announced a new weapon that would be added to the game last week. The game developer posted an in-game announcement about this, letting players know about the new weapon and the new game mode that will be added to the game this week. Players will be happy to hear that the next "Fortnite" Battle Royale update will be released on Tuesday, January 2.
Once again, the update will be released at 8 a.m.
Eastern Time, and players won't be require to update their clients. If you start a game at 8 a.m., there will be a chance that you receive the brand new weapon. Of course, since there is no update required, there will be no downtime so you will be able to play the newest update immediately.
The new weapon will be a silenced pistol!
A few weeks ago, Epic Games added a silenced submachine gun, but now it's the time for another pistol variant. This will be the third pistol variant as players can currently obtain a revolver and a semi-automatic pistol. The new pistol will only come in Epic and Legendary rarities, which means that it will be extremely powerful, especially when combined with a bush.
"Fortnite" Battle Royale players will be able to obtain this weapon in treasure chests, supply drops, as well as in floor loot.
New game mode
At the moment, players are enjoying the High Explosives mode and having a lot of fun in it. However, this mode will soon expire and will be replaced by a new mode on January 5. In the new mode, players will be able to only use suppressed pistols and submachine guns. In addition, traps will be disabled, but bush drop rate will be increased.
