It's been a few busy weeks for Epic Games, "Fortnite" Battle Royale developer. "Fortnite" players were recently hit with a huge Christmas update that added many new cosmetic items, including some amazing skins that have become popular in a short period. Beside the new items, the game developer made some big changes to the map and some Christmas trees were added at a few popular landing spots.
Yesterday, "Fortnite" Battle Royale players were introduced to a new limited-time Game Mode called High Explosives. This new mode was replaced 50v50 mode and it will be rotated out in one week.
The game developer has already announced the new game mode that will be added. However, players will also get a brand new weapon with the upcoming update!
Upcoming Battle Royale weapon
Next year should be very fun and exciting for everyone who plays "Fortnite" Battle Royale as the game developer will add some big things to the game. Players are expecting a new town to be added in January 2018, but it won't be surprising if the developer releases a brand map. However, the new year will start with a great update as players will get a new weapon.
The new weapon that will be added to the game is a silenced pistol. A few weeks ago, Epic Games added a silenced submachine gun to the game, allowing players to eliminate their opponents in a sneaky way.
This gun turned out to be really good, especially for those players who love hiding in bushes and being stealthy. The new pistol is expected to have a similar effect, and while some players may not like it, it will certainly be useful.
Regular pistol has three different rarities right now and if used correctly, it's one of the strongest weapons in the game.
While the game developer hasn't revealed more details about the new weapon, we can expect it to be added to floor loot, chests, and possibly supply drops if its rarity is high enough.
Upcoming 'Fortnite' game mode
Beside the new weapon, the game developer teased "Fortnite" Battle Royale players with a new limited-time game mode.
The mode is called Sneaky Silencers and it will be available from January 5, 2018.
"Utilize only the sneakiest weapons and stealth tactics to take home the win. Be the bush," is what the in-game description says. The new mode will probably limit in-game drops to silenced weapons, and there is also a chance that the only available consumable will be a portable bush. Let the camping begin!
