Thanks to SEGA, and the team that brought us "Sonic Colors" and "Sonic Generations", our favorite blue hedgehog is back! The newest installment of the "Sonic" franchise games, "Sonic Forces", is due to be released tomorrow on November 7, and will be available to play on the Nintendo SWITCH, PS4, XBOX ONE, and PC. Join Sonic and the resistance against the evil Doctor Eggman's reign over the world, and create your own hero to join the team. This action-packed game is set to be a great addition to the current “Sonic” line up.

Story

"Sonic Forces" follows Sonic the hedgehog as the main character.

As a member of a resistance force, you'll fight against Doctor Eggman, who has managed to take over the world with the help of his robot army and a mysterious new villain known as Infinite. Doctor Eggman has several other familiar villains under his employ, including Shadow The Hedgehog and Metal Sonic. Knuckles the Echidna is the one who forms the resistance; recruiting his friends and other rebels to fight for their cause to save the world from Doctor Eggman's control. Your own character also joins the team, earning the moniker "Rookie" from the get-go.

Shadow

"Episode Shadow" features Shadow as a playable character. This downloadable content will be available alongside "Sonic Forces" from the moment of its release and includes 13 extra levels.

The DLC acts as a prequel to the main game and focuses on Shadow and his friends, Rogue and Omega-123. This extra content will also explore the origins of the new villain, Infinite.

It's been a long time since we've seen Shadow the Hedgehog in any capacity other than a cameo or boss fight. "Episode Shadow" will be the first time in many years that Shadow has been a playable character in the "Sonic" franchise, mobile apps and family fun games discounted, the only time Shadow has had a game dedicated to him in any way, was with the release of his own game "Shadow the Hedgehog" back in 2005.

This multi-leveled game was available on Nintendo GameCube, PlayStation 2, and Xbox; so it's possible that the current young gaming generation has never heard of it.

Features

  • They'll be 3 different ways for you to play in "Sonic Forces". You'll be able to play as Modern Sonic and experience some fast-paced action, or as Classic Sonic for some thrilling platforming, and you'll even be able to use powerful, new gadgets as your own custom Hero Character.
  • An all-star cast of heroes and villains will be featured throughout the game, including Zavok, and Chaos, among those already mentioned above.
  • Finally, you'll be able to battle against the newest villain to the "Sonic" franchise: Infinite.
