The arrival of Doomfist had players wondering if we'd be seeing more Talon characters on the "Overwatch" roster. Blizzard has answered with the arrival of a new support character to be introduced to the game soon. They made the announcement at BlizzCon 2017, and though Blizzard didn't set a timeline for her introduction into the game's playable characters, she's fully playable on the show floor at Blizzcon and is scheduled to hit Overwatch's PTR (Public Test Region) before being released into the game.

It's an interesting time for a new character to be brought into the light, considering the current "Overwatch" World Cup games that are well underway, and very quickly coming to a conclusion.

Who is she?

Moira, who is already recieving a mix of negative and positive feedback from "Overwatch" players and fans, is a Talon healer. She's a geneticist that once worked alongside Reaper, AKA Gabriel Reyes, in Blackwatch. She, like Reaper, fully aligns herself with Talon, which also includes Doomfist, Sombra, and Widowmaker. It looks like the small Talon team we once knew when "Overwatch" was first released is no more. The team is definitely bigger and much stronger than it used to be.

Powers

Moira is a little overpowered. This seems to be a common theme with new and upgraded "Overwatch" characters; for example, Mercy, who's skills have been configured several times now to make play more fair.

Like other support characters, Moira isn't only capable of healing, she's also very capable of attacking.

Her left hand holds biotic energy that she uses to heal her team, but her right hand contains a long-range beam weapon that saps the health of enemy players. In this way, she's not disimilar to Mercy and Symmetra. She can also use these two abilities in the form of a launchable orb, choosing whether to heal or hurt.

And finally, like Reaper, Moira can also teleport short distances. She's surely going to be a force to be reckoned with when players start mastering her abilities.

Talon

With the 2nd consecutive "Overwatch" character announced to be another member of Talon, we have to wonder if the next anouncement will same. Doomfist, Reaper, and Sombra are all offence heroes, Widowmaker is Defense, and Moira is Support.

Does this mean that the next character to be released will be a Talon Tank? Only time will tell, and if Blizzard sticks to their usually character announcement time of 3 months, we may very well find out in the New Year.
