The Pokémon Company just keeps on dropping new videos after another as “Ultra Sun” and “Ultra Moon” slowly approaches its release date. This time, the company sheds some light on the new Z-moves we will be seeing in the upcoming game. Here are the highlights of latest Pokémon trailer.
Legendary Z-moves
“Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon’s” new trailer begins with the introduction of the Necrozma-fused Solgaleo and Lunala, Dusk Mane Necrozma, and Dawn Wings Necrozma. First, the video showed us one of Necrozma’s new signature move, the Photon Geyser.
This move launches a ball of light that completely annihilates other Pokemon. After that, the trailer finally introduces us to the new pair of Z-moves we will be seeing in the upcoming game. Searing Sunraze Smash for Solgaleo and Menacing Moonraze Maelstrom for Lunala.
According to the official Pokémon website, Solgaleo will be able to unleash Searing Sunrise Smash if the legendary Pokemon knows the move Sunsteel Strike. Solgaleo will also need to be equipped with the Z-crystal Solganium Z. For Lunala, the Menacing Moonraze Maelstrom will only be activated if the legendary Pokémon is equipped with Lunalium Z and knows the move, Moongeist Beam.
Both of the Z crystal-powered moves pack a powerful punch.
Based on the trailer, the Z-moves take the enemy Pokémon from the battle area to the Ultra Wormhole. Here, the legendary Pokémon launches an all-out attack that can knock out any enemy on sight. Solgaleo and Lunala’s new moves will definitely be helpful for battles to come.
The all-new Rotom Dex
Another new feature in “Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon,” is the added functionalities of the Rotom Dex.
Rotom is not just a navigating companion anymore. In the upcoming game, players can now communicate with him and even change his personality depending on how you respond. As you go on your journey, he can even have the same personality as yours.Getting closer to Rotom will let players unlock his new upgrades that will be very useful in the game.
The first feature from his new upgrade is the Roto Loto. Using this game feature lets players get special items from Rotom. Rewards from this new feature can range from increased experience points to money. After unlocking this upgrade, players can use it anytime.
Another great new feature added in his system is the Rotom’s Z-Power. Although you can’t use the navigator in battle, he can now let players use a Z-move twice in battle. This will be very useful for future battles as a new threat looms over Alola.
“Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon” is set be released for the Nintendo 3DS on November 17.
