Blizzard continues to update the battle.net app with some new features. That said, another “Overwatch” patch just dropped and it isn’t a large file. Many fans are speculating as to what this update might actually be, but the developers have already responded. That said, the battle.net app has just gotten a lot of cool new features.

Another small update

Whenever “Overwatch” updates, many fans think that it adds a substantial addition to the game. However, sometimes that isn’t the case at all. In line with this, the game has just gotten a 300 MB patch that had many fans wondering what it does.

Thankfully, a Reliability Engineer took to the official “Overwatch” forums to explain what the patch is. “Hey guys, this update was just adding some background tech to support battle.net features,” he explained.

Battle.net has just gotten some useful updates. Users can now appear Offline when playing if they don’t want to be disturbed by others. Fans have been extremely vocal about this highly-requested feature, so it’s great to know that Blizzard is listening to their fans. There is also a new Social tab in the desktop app that allows friends to chat even if they are offline. Moreover, it’s much easier to create groups with your friends. This way, fans can easily coordinate their clans or groups if they haven’t added each other on social media platforms, like Facebook.

Gifting loot boxes

In other news, Blizzard has just dropped a new trailer for the new changes in the app. One interesting new feature fans can do is each other loot boxes. This is another highly-requested feature as sometimes players want to gift their friends some loot boxes on special occasions, especially during events. It’s unsure if this feature will work with those on the console, but it’s worth a shot.

Halloween Terror

The “Overwatch” Halloween Terror event is still live as players can continue collecting new skins, sprays, victory emotes, and other cosmetic items. Those who are new to the game can also try to unlock all of the event cosmetics from last year at a reduced price. Heroes like Symmetra, Torbjorn, Zarya, and Reaper have gotten some pretty cool new skins, so it’s worth looking into them.

Similarly, fans can also continue playing the Junkenstein’s Revenge seasonal brawl. This PvE mode groups four players together to defend Eichenwalde Castle from invading zomnics. There is also a new Endless Mode that adds four new heroes to the fray: Widowmaker, Zenyatta, Genji, and Torbjorn.
