Blizzard has added numerous updates to "Overwatch" lately and most of them have been positively accepted by the community. On October 17, the game developer added another patch to the game, and this time it was a small update that changed a few things. The patch went live on all three "Overwatch" platforms and Blizzard posted patch notes shortly after, providing players with much details about the changes.

While the patch mostly brought minor changes, it did bring a few rather big changes to two heroes. The heroes affected by the changes are Lucio and Mercy, and while Lucio got a slight buff to his movement speed, Mercy received another nerf.

There is no doubt that this will negatively impact her pick rate as the latest changes will once again change the way players use the hero.

Mercy's latest nerfs

Before the patch hit live servers, Mercy players would get a cooldown reset on Guardian Angel and Resurrect immediately after using her ultimate ability. However, the latest update removed the cooldown reset on both of these abilities. In addition, players will no longer have a shorter cooldown on Resurrect ability while Valkyrie is active.

On a more positive side, Mercy players will be given the ability to glide past a targeted ally while using Guardian Angel. All they have to is to press the jump key which will allow them to perform this action.

In addition, Valkyrie will now give players a bonus resurrection charge. If Mercy doesn't use this extra charge for the duration of her ultimate ability, the charge will be removed.

According to Blizzard, these changes will make Resurrect ability more flexible when it's used with Mercy's ultimate ability. However, the overall number of resurrects will be reduced by these changes as her ultimate ability doesn't reset it anymore.

Other changes

Lucio will receive a speed boost after completing a wall ride. The hero's speed will be increased by 65 percent after the ride. According to Blizzard, a recent bug fixed slowed Lucio's Wall Ride and this change will compensate for it.

Beside the change to Lucio, PC players will now be able to change their social status.

The status can be changed to Online, Away, Busy or Appear Offline. Blizzard also added another minor change for a hero as Zenyatta received a few additional voicelines for his new skin, Cultist.

In the end, the game developer fixed a few bugs that affected Mercy and Sombra.
