Over the weekend, Xbox players were greeted with some exciting "leaked" news that involves Microsoft's upcoming titles for the Xbox One backward compatibility list. According to the Daily Star, a prominent Microsoft leaker on Twitter posted more than ten original Xbox titles on the BC feature. While it is not suggested when the games will arrive, it's exciting to learn that big titles are about to arrive on the feature.

Leaked original Xbox titles for the BC Feature

  • Crimson Skies
  • Bloodrayne 2 Grabbed by the Ghoulies
  • Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
  • Dead to Rights
  • Prince of Persia
  • Fusion Frenzy
  • Psychonauts
  • Red Faction II
  • Ninja Gaiden Black
  • Pirates!
  • Neowave: The King of Fighters

It's unlikely for Microsoft to cease releasing new titles for the Xbox One backward compatibility list, but with the upcoming release of the Xbox One console, it's quite relevant that the company has been busy with the preparations.

Nevertheless, the leaked information gave fans hope that new titles will arrive soon.

Meanwhile, 2017 has been a slow year for the backward compatibility feature. Compared to 2016, Microsoft released several big titles including "Red Dead Redemption," "The BioShock Trilogy," "Mass Effect Trilogy," "Skate 3," "Call of Duty: Black Ops 2," and much more. Also, "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion" joined the feature to complete a blockbuster year.

If the leaked Xbox One backward compatibility list is something to be trusted, fans will finally be able to experience playing "Crimson Skies" on the console. Take note that players who previously owned a digital copy of the games will automatically find them on the Xbox One console.

Otherwise, players may need to purchase and manually download the games on the current gen console.

Xbox Games with Gold for October

For those who can't wait for the titles to arrive, at least one BC title can now be downloaded via the Xbox Games With Gold for the month of October. "Medal of Honor: Airborne" is now available for free to all Xbox Live Gold members until the end of the month.

Failure to download the game before the deadline means they will have to purchase the game at its regular price.

For the latest on the Xbox One backward compatibility list, Microsoft's Major Nelson on Twitter announces the titles coming each week. Unfortunately, no updates were made last week until the recent leaked Xbox BC titles. Meanwhile, if you wish to see your favorite game on the BC feature, make sure to cast your vote on the Xbox website.
