Humblebundle.com is mostly known for their great bundles and monthly subscription service. When not offering a bargain for just $1, they occasionally put together a theme based sale for their store. This week, games with a female protagonist are available to purchase at a discount rated of up to 80%.

There are some fantastic titles included, even if the options are relatively limited. Some of the upcoming games have been on sale before, so let us see if there is anything worth noticing.

'Rise of the Tomb Raider'

Lara Croft is probably the most well known female hero in the gaming industry.

First popularized in the PlayStation One era, the 2013 reboot brought the adventurer to the modern era. "Rise of the Tomb Raider" is the sequel released two years later, which improved slightly on its predecessor. Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal actually included tombs in this one, and the open world is more fun to explore.

The version included in the sale is the "20 Year Celebration," which offers a few new chapters to explore that were left out of the original 2015 release. Craft Manor is actually available to experience within the game, as a side story called "Blood Ties" sees Lara Croft exploring her run-down mansion.

Priced at $23.99, this is not an easy recommendation. Do not misunderstand us, "Rise of the Tomb Raider" is worth the money, but it has been cheaper.

The base game was available for just $12 recently on Humblebundle.com.

'Alien: Isolation The Collection'

For just $9.99, the base game and all of its DLC can be purchased. "Alien: Isolation" is not hard to find on sale, as it has been out for a few years and discounted many times. Still, at 80% off, this is one of the best offers available.

Horror fans should definitely give this one a look, as precious few games match the intense experience of trying to not get killed by a xenomorph.

"Bayonetta" is on-sale for $14.99, which is only a 25% discount. The PC version has only been available since April, and this hack-and-slash game is well worth its fixed $19.99 price tag.

While it will eventually get cheaper, especially with the Christmas period around the corner, this is a nice price cut for those who just cannot wait any longer.

"Life is Strange" for only $4.99 is a steal and the stand out bargain of the entire sale. For that price, the complete first season can be downloaded and played through. The game-play is story-based, with the focus being on character development.
