“Total War: Warhammer 2” is poised to be the next best “Total War” game after game critics awarded the same title to its predecessor game last year. It appears that critically acclaimed developer Creative Assembly wants to prove that the best in the series is yet to come really soon.

In another brand new trailer, the studio offered the fans a quick but an exciting tour around The New World, a new continent extending from the jungle city of Hexoatl to the Elven haven of Lothern.

Watch the latest teaser below.

The New World

The developer teased that the New World is filled with a myriad of festering ancient jungles and cold, desolate, isolated lands spoiled by anarchic dark magic.

It is not yet known whether these beautifully landscaped areas will be playable in the game or “for eyes only.”

As game pundits put it, “Total War: Warhammer 2” does not make much difference in comparison to the original title in terms of visual. But it is noted that the sequel has shown incredible environmental effects at some points.

Collector’s Edition robbery update

The game ships in less than two weeks and it has already broken pre-order records. The game developer revealed that the second installment in "Warhammer" trilogy is now the most pre-ordered "Total War" game in the history of the franchise.

But earlier this week, an unfortunate event took place in Europe. Bandits robbed a van hauling the Collector’s Edition packs in Milton Keynes.

The hotly anticipated turn-based strategy and real-time tactics video game is due for release next week. Fans are worried since a great number of the pre-ordered units have been stolen.

But CA assured the fans there won’t be any delay in shipping all the pre-purchased Collector’s Edition units. So, those who pre-ordered the game will still get their copies on time and it is noted that the game will not be playable until the prescribed time on September 28.

Pre-order details

The game is currently available for pre-order with three editions to choose from. These are the Standard, Limited Edition, and the Serpent Gold Collector’s Edition, which is exclusively sold at the Total War website.

The rare Serpent Gold Collector’s Edition is limited to 7,000 units and sold at $133.47 USD.

It comes with a variety of collectible items in a presentation box. It contains a Slann puzzle globe, carved teeth totems, canvas map, new Race pack DLC for the original game, and more.

“Total War: Warhammer 2” is currently in development for Windows PC and slated to launch on September 28, 2017.
