"Pokemon Ultra Sun" and "Pokemon Ultra Moon" are the second pair of installments for Generation VII which will feature new Pokemon that were not present in the Sun and Moon games and offer an alternate storyline. The games were first announced worldwide on June 2017 for the Nintendo 3DS through Nintendo Direct. Since then, bits of updates were released through short videos on The Official Pokemon Youtube Channel. In this article, we will be talking about the latest updates for the upcoming Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon games.

Necrozma's new forms!

Necrozma, the Prism Pokemon, is a Psychic-type Legendary Pokemon that was introduced in Generation VII.

In this update, it is revealed that the mascots on the game covers are not upgraded versions of Solgaleo (Sun) and Lunala (Moon), but are actually Necrozma's two new forms. It is also implied that Necrozma captured these legendary Pokemon.

Dusk Mane Necrozma is a new form Necrozma obtains after absorbing the legendary Pokemon Solgaleo while Dawn Wings Necrozma is its form after and absorbing the legendary Pokemon Lunala.

Rockruff as an early purchase gift

As a bonus for getting a copy of Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon early, a special Rockruff with a unique move will be given. Depending on which version you will be getting, the move will differ. For players purchasing their copies of Ultra Sun, their Rockruff will have the move called "Fire Fang" while those who are buying Ultra Moon will have the move "Thunder Fang".

Aside from the unique moves, the Rockruff will only evolve into Lycanroc's dusk form. In addition, all Lycanroc forms will have a unique Z-Move called "Splintered Stormshards". The animation for the Z-Move is the same but will differ on Lycanroc's form using the move.

New Ultra Beasts UB Assembly and UB Burst

Ultra Beasts are extra-dimensional Pokemon introduced in Generation VII.

The difference between them and the usual Pokemon is that they possess a power that is beyond humans' capabilities and understanding. In Sun and Moon, there are 7 Ultra Beasts: Nihilego, Buzzwole, Pheromosa, Xurkitree, Celesteela, and Guzzlord. Prior to having proper names, they were initially identified using code names starting with the letters UB.

In Ultra Sun and Moon, two new ultra beasts are introduced: UB Assembly and UB Burst. For the meantime, they are only known for their codenames. UB Assembly will be present in Ultra Moon while UB Burst will be available for Ultra Sun.

The video above contains all the updates I have mentioned above. Make sure to check it out and you better start saving up for your copy of Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon to be released on the 17th of November this year! 'Til next time!
