There are several changes that have been discovered with the Egg Pools in “Pokemon Go.” These changes include a new Hyper Rare Tier. There are also nine species that are removed from eggs, which means that those creatures no longer hatch from eggs.

Latest discoveries

There are several changes that were recently discovered in the egg pools of “Pokemon Go.” According to the latest report from The Silph Road, the popular augmented reality game had recently removed some pocket monsters from its egg pools. The Silph Road is a community committed to researching everything related to the game.

In the game lingo, egg pools define the creature hatching from a particular egg. It is worth noting that since the game was officially released, there has been massive tweaking and switching. Players have observed that this happens periodically, which affects the way they play the popular augmented reality game.

During the game’s Anniversary Event, players have already noticed the changes. However, it was not yet clear if the changes were permanent or temporary, since there was an event going on at that time. However, the recent report from The Silph Road appears to be confirming that the changes previously observed by players are here to stay.

Species that no longer hatch from eggs

The biggest change is the removal of some of the fan-favorite pocket monsters from the game’s egg pools.

The only way to obtain them is to catch them in the wild. There are nine creatures that are now removed from the egg pools, which include Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. There are also several common pocket monsters that were pulled out of the pools such as Yanma, Magnemite, Ekans, Staryu, Goldeen, and Vulpix.

Creatures added

Interestingly, the pocket monsters that are added to the egg pools are all Gen 2 with several uncommon and rare ones included. Gen 2 starter creatures like Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile have recently been added to the egg pools. In addition, several uncommon creatures such as Houndour and Snubbull can now be found in the egg pools.

Players can now find Teddiursa, Houndour, Snubbull, Marill, Wooper, Hoppip, Chinchou, Swinub, Natu, and Spinarak hatching from eggs.

Hyper Rare Tier

Aside from those changes, Niantic Labs introduced a new rarity tier for eggs dubbed as Hyper Rare in “Pokemon Go.” This tier has the species that are incredibly difficult to hatch. The pocket monsters that are in this tier are Wobbuffet, Girafarig, Dunsparce, and Shuckle.
