"PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" received a huge September update as it included numerous things. Some of the most important things that were added in this update are a new weapon and weather, and a new loot location in the northeast. Furthermore, the game also received some tweaks and changes, including weapon balance changes.

As almost every other update, the September patch also fixed some bugs, including a fix to the characters who fall or glitch under the map. If this happens now, the player will be automatically reset to the ground. The game developer also added some new leaderboards and revised the BP methodology.

In addition, NVIDIA ShadowPlay Highlights received support for Windows 7 and Windows 8.

Weapon drops

This month's update added two new world spawn weapons to the game. Players can now find the Mini-14 and the Tommy Gun in the world.

The Mini-14 is a lightweight semi-automatic marksman rifle. It can take any type of optic sight and players can use sniper rifle attachments on it for both the muzzle and magazine slots. The weapon has lower damage than other designated marksman rifles, but it makes up for it with low bullet drop and high muzzle velocity.

It is important to note that the Tommy Gun is not a new addition to the game. This weapon was in the game before the patch, but the latest update changed a few things about it.

The gun was removed from Care Packages and it is now exclusively a world spawn. Furthermore, the weapon now supports attachments, such as silencer, magazines and vertical foregrip.

Weapon changes

"PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" September update brought a lot of changes to gameplay, including changes to the existing weapons. For example, the Crossbow reload speed was increased by 35 percent, while Flash Grenade's fuse was decreased to 2.5 seconds.

Frag Grenade also received a change as its range was increased. In addition, players will not have to manually cook grenades with R button.

The latest patch updated recoil animations for all weapons as well. This includes horizontal recoil, which was changed to be more consistent. Furthermore, "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" players will now be able to switch their stances while reloading without canceling the reload animation.

Foggy weather

The game will not have a foggy weather which will hinder player sight on the map. However, this weather has a low probability to occur, which is a good thing for the players who don't like it.

It should be noted that the weather had a higher chance to occur during gameplay on test servers, but it is drastically reduced on live servers.
