Blizzard Entertainment is set to release a new Comic for “Overwatch” on September 6. The Comic is entitled “Wasted Land,” and it is starred by one of the most favorite characters in the game, Roadhog. According to a report from IGN, “Wasted Land” is scripted by Robert Brooks and Miki Montlló. It is set after the Omnic Crisis in the post-apocalyptic Australian Outback Junkertown. The developer sometimes releases a backstory of the game’s characters through animated shorts films or comics. However, there are other characters in “Overwatch” that do not have their own backstory yet.

What is ‘Wasted Land?’

“Wasted Land” is another interesting addition to the colorful world of “Overwatch” filled with lore and characters that Blizzard Entertainment has introduced to the community. Junkertown, on the other hand, is an escort map launched on August 21, and it is currently under “Overwatch” PTR (Public Test Realm). The characters Roadhog and Junkrat introduced the Junkertown escort map with a hilarious and fun approach.

Junker Queen Character might come soon

Roadhog and Junkrat were exiled in Junkertown by the Junker Queen. But who is Junker Queen? Players do not know much about the mysterious Junker Queen because she only appeared in posters of the Junktown map.The Queen’s voice can also be heard over the loudspeakers in the recent trailer.

Avid “Overwatch” fans and players have flooded the social media with drawings of the Junker Queen and requested Blizzard Entertainment to add her in the game.

Player who earns $150,000 just for playing the game

In other news, an “Overwatch” player named Jay "sinatraa" Won has just joined the Overwatch League players around the world, which means he could earn $100,000 more than the League minimum.

According to a report from Engadget, Jay "sinatraa" Won recently joined the NRG's Overwatch League roster and signed a $150,000-per-year contract with NRG Esports. Sinatraa and his future teammates will also be given 50 percent of team bonuses as well as other revenue sharing options based on Overwatch League rules. The high salary comes after the bidding war between Cloud9 and NRG Esports.

Cloud9 also attempted to make a deal with the player but because Sinatraa is still a minor, his mother who is legally required to sign the agreement chose NRG Esports.

Jay "sinatraa" Won and other pro players will represent the United States as part of the Overwatch World Cup against the South Korean national team. The Overwatch World Cup will be held at Anaheim, California on November 3 to November 4.
