Fans of #Friday the 13th: #The Game” will be getting their biggest Halloween treat this year. It appears that IllFonic and Gun Media are now set to bring the much-awaited release of Final Chapter Jason to the popular horror survival video game.

The indie developer is promising horror game fans heaps of exciting new content coming to “Friday the 13th: The Game” in the next few months. After releasing the Spring Break 1984 DLC, Part IV Jason will arrive next along with the new Jarvis House map.

Apparently, fans are getting more impatient in waiting for the upcoming DLC pack. They commented that enough with the teasing already and that the developer should already release the new content.

Some were even guessing that Part IV Jason would be out on September 28. Notably, the studio dropped two updates on the 28th of the previous months, however, the developer did not launch any update this week.

Welcome Home video

Apart from the new poster, the studio also dropped an eight-second video titled #Welcome Home.” It shows the masked killer standing outside the Jarvis house, stalking. The short, stunning clip also displays the new rain effect, which adds more thrill to the spine-chilling scene.

Release Date

Unfortunately, Gun Media has not yet announced the official release date of Final Chapter Jason and the Jarvis House map DLC.

But 1428elm reported that fans can expect the DLC before October 31.

Seemingly, the timing would just be perfect to experience the creep out of playing as the new Jason hunting for his next victim in time for Halloween.

Other updates

Meanwhile, the single-player mode of the game will be available beyond 2017 based on the DLC roadmap. The addition of this fan-requested mode was pushed back from its initial release date in summer. According to the game developer, it wants to make sure that all the bugs and issues on consoles are properly addressed first.

Moreover, the studio also clarified that the single-player will not include a story mode contrary to fans’ expectations. Players can look forward to enjoying “Hitman-esque” challenges instead.

The physical copies of "Friday the 13th: The Game" are scheduled to be out in stores on Friday the 13th of October 2017. The asymmetric multiplayer 4v1 horror video game is currently available on Xbox One, PS4, and Windows PC via Steam.
