The latest updates for "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will feature a new character added to the roster and was leaked through esports proposal details.

The Spirit of Vengeance

The official "Marvel vs. Capcom" Twitter page tweeted the next playable character as Johnny Blaze a.k.a. Ghost Rider will be joining the fight as part of the sequel's growing roster. The Spirit of Vengeance is featured on the variant cover of "The Defenders" comic book fighting against "Darkstalkers" heroine Morrigan Aesland.

Capcom announced that they will attend this year's Gamescom this month and gaming fans are expecting a Ghost Rider gameplay trailer and more details during the event.

Dormammu and Firebrand were featured in several comic book variants for the sequel and will likely follow Ghost Rider in the roster.

So far, the playable characters in the sequel include the likes Iron Man, Captain America, Hawkeye, Captain Marvel, Spider-Man, Gamora, Thanos, Ryu, Chris Redfield, Chun-Li, Mega Man X, Zero, Dante, Frank West, Haggar, and more.

The game will have an impressive story mode that pits the heroes of both universes against the threat of Ultron Sigma while collecting all of the Infinity Stones.

Leaked eSports plans

It seems that someone from Capcom accidentally leaked the company's eSports proposal for "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite." The leaked details were first spotted on YouTube and it revealed that the Japanese publisher is planning a "Pro Tour" event for the sequel including several sponsorships and revenue shares.

The company has gone to great lengths to take down the uploads, but the contents of the video have already spread throughout the internet. More importantly, the information of the Pro Tour is still a proposal, so expect some changes regarding the content soon.

There are still some specific financial details regarding the how much the sponsorship cost and what they provide - as well as expected revenue from the plan.

The leaked proposal also revealed the company's plans to invite the "Top 14" online players to compete at the 2017 Capcom Cup finale event.

This is not the first time that a large amount of information was leaked online as the sequel will likely have two DLC packs featuring X-Men, Street Fighter, and Darkstalkers characters as playable fighters.

The DLC characters teased the likes of Wolverine, Cyclops, Deadpool, Jon Talbain, Felicia, Super Skrull, Doctor Doom and Silver Surfer.

The fourth installment of the crossover fighting game will launch on Sept. 19 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
