NetherRealm Studios has finally revealed all of the details regarding the latest DLC Character that will be coming for its highly popular fighting video game, "Injustice 2." Starfire will be the third character that will be included in the game's Fighter Pack 1 DLC alongside the Red Hood and Sub Zero. During the "Injustice 2" Watchtower Livestream event that was held today, all of Starfire's movement sets and her different shaders were showcased. The character officially becomes available for all players starting tomorrow, Aug. 8. Players who bought the game's Deluxe and Ultimate Editions will get access to the character for free.

Beginner-friendly character

As stated by the developers during the Livestream event, Starfire is meant to be a character that would be very easy to use for beginners. Her movements are pretty straightforward and it wouldn't really require a lot of skill to execute different combos and quick attacks. Many of the abilities can be executed with simple button combinations and her more powerful moves are safe on block. The character also excels in long-range combat as she does possess a myriad of zoning moves that let her control the stage and her opponent's distance. Starfire also possesses several unique abilities such as air dashes, anti-air moves, sweeping mids, and a number of low attacks.

Unique shaders

As requested by fans, Starfire will be coming with a lot of shaders that should let players fully customize her overall looks. Through the customization options, players can even make her look like her sister, Blackfire, complete with her hair color and fire effects. The usual gods and demons shaders will also be available alongside the newly released tournament shaders.

Sad ending

Based on the recently published ending video for the character, Starfire likely has the saddest ending out of all of the superheroes in the game so far. The video itself starts off with Starfire revealing the fates of her fellow Teen Titans and how they are no longer with her. Cyborg has apparently already joined Superman's regime, while Raven has already left to join her father, Trigon.

Meanwhile, Beast Boy is still nowhere to be found and presumed dead. Starfire's "star-crossed soulmate," Robin, is already dead and gone. The ending ultimately ends with a happy note as Starfire begins to form new bonds with her new comrades.

"Injustice 2" is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, iOS, and Android. The game, which is the direct sequel to 2013's "Injustice: Gods Among Us," was originally released back in May.
