The upcoming “Friday the 13th: The Game free DLC will add deadly, fast-paced maps and eight new emotes soon. Gun Media and IllFonic also announced a new patch coming to the popular horror survival video game that will disable the team killings.

Eight new emotes

Via its official Facebook post, IllFonic announced that there are eight free emotes that will be added in “Friday the 13th: The Game” for counselor communication soon. With this new feature, one can give their teammate a thumbs up or other hand gestures. that will improve communication among those who play the game, especially those that do not have mics.

This set of emotes aims to improve communication among those who play the game, especially those that do not have mics.

Fast-paced, deadlier maps

According to the game developer, the free DLC will also bring in the addition of variant maps of the three existing maps in the game – Camp Crystal Lake, Packnack, and Higgens Haven.

All these three maps will get a version that is 40 percent smaller that will enable faster play throughs, thus giving Jason a full boost. This change will certainly make the game a lot more challenging for players, and even for the experienced counselors.

The new emotes and the variant maps will be offered for free, so, this is great news for the fans. However, it remains unknown as to when IllFonic will implement these free stuff in the game.

There is no word either on the release date of the game’s most awaited single-player mode, but hopefully, it will be launched very soon.

New patch to disable team killings

In addition, Gun Media also confirmed an incoming patch for “Friday the 13th: The Game.” Via the game’s official subreddit, the game publisher outlined the possibilities of this particular patch.

Once this update is implemented, public games will disable team killings with the use of weapons against another counselor. Simply put, the machete, shot gun, and other sorts of weapons will no longer have any effect on friendly players.

However, cars remain a danger, where they still can kill teammates once they get hit or run over.

Last week, IllFonic teased the fans with a set of sneak peeks taken during a recent recording session. Kane Hodder, along with the stunt men, are back in the mo-cap studio with the development team to work on some new game kills.

"Friday the 13th: The Game" was developed by IllFonic and published by Gun Media. It was released on May 16 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC platforms.
