July is here and this means, Maxis will reveal its Q3 2017 plans for The Sims 4 soon. The quarterly teaser is anticipated to come out any time now, although, the highly anticipated Pets DLC will not be included yet and will arrive in the last few months of 2017.

To review, the Sims team launched two new packs in Q2 2017. The Parenthood Game Pack was released in May and followed by the Fitness Stuff Pack in June. Maxis also announced “The Sims Mobile”, that had a soft launch in Brazil and Canada while it is still set to be available on iOS and Android devices in other parts of the world.

Q3 2017 teaser will be out shortly

If Maxis will stick with the release pattern of its quarterly teasers, the Q3 2017 teaser will be out anytime from now. It can be recalled that last year, the development team revealed its plans for the third quarter on July 5, 2016.

Maxis usually makes the announcement of the upcoming DLC packs for “The Sims 4” on a Tuesday and on a Thursday for the game's new updates. However, the release schedule of quarterly teasers is random and there is no specific day attached to it.

Pets DLC won’t arrive until Q4 2017

There’s no tip or leak that would suggest what Maxis has up its sleeve at the moment for the third quarter of this year. What has been leaked for several times since January of this year is the Pets DLC but it remains unconfirmed by Maxis until now.

If the leak from game retailers’ listing turns out to be legit, The Sims 4” Pets DLC will arrive on November 10, which obviously falls within the final quarter of 2017.

The latest leaked pre-order page even included a box art for the rumored expansion, but Maxis was quick to shot it down. SimGuru Graham on his Twitter said that it is easy for fans to spot a fake render and that's when Sims are wearing a bunch of old clothes.

The leak further revealed that the Pets DLC will be aptly titled Dogs And Cats since it will only feature two pets: dogs and cats.

Eco Living making a smooth progress

On the other hand, the development of Eco Living for “The Sims 4” is making smooth progress, with the recent voting of its gameplay features. The results of the fan votes showed the Laundry group as the winning gameplay feature that will possibly include a washing machine, dryer, hamper, clothesline, wash tub and more items.

Two more votes are left at this point: where fans will choose the pack icon on Sep. 6 and the official title on Sep. 13. “The Sims 4” Eco Living stuff pack is slated to be released sometime in 2018.
