The Sims 4 publisher Electronic Arts has revealed initial information that pertains to its big appearance at the upcoming Gamescom 2017. The Sims team also brought a surprise treat to the fans this week.

August is almost here, and it means, huge game developers will again convene at Gamescom 2017 soon. Electronic Arts is among the first to announce its schedule of activities the biggest annual trade fair in Europe.

EA has yet to confirm what video games will comprise its Gamescom 2017 lineup at EA Live Show. However, fans can expect that some people will get their hands on the new content coming to “The Sims 4” and “The Sims Mobile.”

In its most recent blog, EA confirmed that they are prepping up for the next step with more news, gameplay deep dives, and hands-on experiences for the multitude of players who will be physically attending Gamescom in Cologne, Germany and also for those who will tune into the live broadcast online.

The EA Live Show will go live on Aug. 21 at 6:30 p.m. CET or 9:30 a.m. PDT and offer a peek at new gameplay, real-time matches, and some surprises.

The Hands-on Gameplay will run from Aug. 22-26, and EA’s booth has almost 400 gameplay stations available to the attendees. They can try out playing demos for “Star Wars: Battlefront 2,” “Need for Speed,” “Payback,” “FIFA 18,” including the next DLC for “Battlefield 1” named In the Name of the Tsar.

Game enthusiasts can also look forward to a live streaming of the content creators while producing content straight from the EA Business Lounge for games mentioned above, including “The Sims 4” and “The Sims Mobile.”

Fans should be on the lookout for some exciting news that the Sims team and other game developers will share in the next few weeks leading to Gamescom 2017.

It will be held at Koelnmesse in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany from Aug. 22 to Aug. 26.

Brand new update available now

Meanwhile, Simmers received a surprise treat from the Sims team in the form of a brand new update. On its FB post last week, Maxis teased the fans about an impending announcement of an excellent news this week, and this must be it.

According to the game developer, it has been working on the PC version 1.32.1.1020 and Mac version 1.32.1.1220 for some time that will finally address a chock-full of hot community issues requested by the fans except for one.

Among the notable features from the newest version of the game is that Vampires can now date in the Vampires pack.

In Dine Out pack, high-end restaurant chefs will no longer cook poor quality meals.

There is also a slew of fun improvement and changes introduced in several other DLC packs like Get to Work, Get Together, and City Living. The brand new update also includes general fixes for “The Sims 4.”
