The DLC 1 for Tekken 7" is confirmed to arrive on Xbox One, PS4, and PC in August 2017. Game producer Katsuhiro Harada has released footage to whet the appetite of fans for the new content and also said that Eliza will likely come out this July.

DLC 1 new contents

Following the release of the well-received 2015 arcade game to current-gen platforms and Microsoft Windows in early June, the first DLC is now on its way that will be adding back the popular and zany bonus game in Tekken franchise, the Ultimate Tekken Bowl. On top of it, players will also receive more than 50 new costumes for their characters.

Bandai Namco Entertainment has also released a new trailer that features the DLC 1 footage starting at 1:38 but before that mark, it shows a lot of Harada. The video is shown below.

DLC 2 and DLC 3 update

Meanwhile, the DLC 2 and DLC 3 scheduled for release in winter 2017 and spring 2018, respectively will each add one exclusive playable character to “Tekken 7.” These two guest characters will come from another franchise and will also get their stages in the game.

Harada also told fans on Twitter that he already picked out one of the playable guest characters but he didn’t reveal any name, so it stays a secret for now. It is noted, however, how fans don’t like the idea of the addition of guest characters to the game and preferred to get classic Tekken characters instead.

Players have been requesting for Anna, Jun Kazama, Lei Wulong, Julia, Zafina and Mokujin including a story DLC.

Eliza out soon

A fan also asked Harada on when Eliza will be released to everyone, to which the game producer replied that the vampiric beauty will likely be out for purchase this month. Eliza has been made available as a bonus playable character to those who pre-ordered the game.

Update 1.03 release

Bandai Namco has released Update 1.03 to “Tekken 7” first on PS4 in Europe and it will be rolled out on PC and on Xbox One shortly. Weighing in at 740MB, this update adds improvement on matchmaking in online mode, usability in Player Match and more.

It also brings tons of fixes to notable issues found in the game including adjustment on Leo’s character customization. Despite that, it was not included in the patch notes, Harada himself confirmed that input lag issues are also now fixed.

"Tekken 7" is also included in the list of the game lineup for Evolution Championship Series (EVO) 2017. The event will run from July 14-16 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
