This week, "Overcooked: Special Edition" will arrive on the Nintendo Switch with few additional features. According to the VentureBeat, the Switch version will include two new content packs - The Lost Morsel and Festive Seasoning. These content packs are an addition to the basic features available on the game's version on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. The game became popular with its co-op mode and colorful graphics.

Developed by Ghost Town Games and published by Team17, "Overcooked" first launched on the Xbox One, PC, and PS4 last year. The previous version contained the basic features but its campaign mode makes it nonetheless beautiful and exciting game to play.

In "Overcooked: Special Edition," players will still play the campaign mode as one of the game's main core. They can also form a team to finish a single task or a solo player facing one or two more players in a team in the versus mode.

Features of the Special Edition

This week, the game will be available on the Nintendo eShop for $19.99 and if you're wondering what's included in the "Overcooked: Special Edition," you can count on at least 44 campaign levels that co-op or single players can play. Interestingly, there will be 22 different chefs that you can choose from including the French bulldog, raccoon, dinosaur, human, robot and even a reindeer. And if that's not enough, you can choose from 9 different types of kitchens to cook along with your teammates.

Game developer's comment about "Overcooked"

Ghost Town's co-founder Phil Duncan, on the other hand, thanked the existence of the "Mario Go Kart Deluxe." Apparently, they patterned the "Overcooked: Special Edition" controls to the game in order to make it fit and easy to play on the Nintendo Switch platform. "Obviously, that’s the one that most people are going to have experience with, so it’s a good thing to look at them and say, OK, that’s the standard, that’s what we should try and emulate in any way we can," he added.

So what's the most exciting thing about the new special edition of "Overcooked" coming to the Nintendo Switch? You can basically bring it everywhere you go and challenge your friends with your cooking mastery. Aand if you haven't paid much attention to the game's latest achievements, it includes the award of Best Game at Brazil's Independent Games Festival (BIG) as well as the award for Best Gameplay.

"Overcooked: Special Edition" will arrive on Nintendo Switch's eShop on July 27, 2017, for the price of $19.99.
