What is an "Uncharted" game without Nathan Drake? It's an ecstatic new adventure featuring Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross. Fans will be ecstatic to know that Naughty Dog released a 14-minute trailer today for their new "Uncharted: The Lost Legacy" adventure featuring a female in the lead part. According to the DualShockers, this Uncharted entry has an all new "flavor" brought by the presence of Chloe, the female counter part of Nathan.
Unlike Nathan Drake's relationship with his brothers in "Uncharted: A Thief's End," the unlikely relationship between Chloe and Nadine came from a more unconventional beginning.
The two female leads are brought together by their need to complete the job on hand. Nadine, who is described as a military-lady who is more organized and practical, Chloe is the sort of a carefree adventurer who always seems to have reserved tricks up her sleeves.
Nadine Ross and Chloe Frazer relationship
The partnership of Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross in "Uncharted: The Lost Legacy," despite having the same concept in the game as the ones with Nathan Drake, has the opposing view of each other's characters to separate it. Of course, Chloe Frazer's presence is a staple to fans who witnessed her arrival in "Uncharted 2: Among Thieves."
The 14-minute "Uncharted: The Lost Legacy" trailer features Nadine and Chloe exploring the Western Ghats in hopes to find the lost empire.
It is also the first time that an Uncharted series did not feature Nathan Drake as the main character. According to the Engadget, it's more of an add on story despite being developed as a stand alone game and entry to the series.
Meanwhile, a review by Mic revealed that the new Uncharted series is more like a developed game based on the Indiana Jones movie than an entry to the franchise.
Of course, this can also be related to the fact that the graphics and concept of the game are very similar to the movie. The Uncharted trailer is by far the longest among the rest of series and has given players an idea of what to expect with this version of Uncharted, featuring female lead stars.
Based on Mic's game review, the series entry is more focused in the open-world environment and spending over an hour on its demo reveals more details of Chloe and Nadine's past relationship.
As they communicate in the beginning of the game, some challenges and more discoveries will unravel.
Price and release date in the US and Canada
"Uncharted: The Lost Legacy" will arrive on the PlayStation 4 on August 22, 2017, with a price of $40 in the United States and $50 in Canada.
