The latest gameplay trailer for "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will feature the power of the Mind Stone along with new playable characters and stage arena.

Returning characters and new arena

The new gameplay trailer from San Diego Comic-Con featured several returning playable characters in the fighting crossover series along with a new merged stage arena. These characters are Spider-Man, Frank West, Nemesis, Gamora and Mike Haggar. The new arena is called "AIMbrella," a fusion of the Marvel terrorist group Advanced Idea Mechanics (AIM) and the sinister Umbrella Corporation from the "Resident Evil" games.

Also, super villain MODOK is featured in the background.

Spider-Man is one of the many recurring characters in the series, while Frank, Nemesis, and Haggar made their debuts in "Marvel vs. Capcom 3" and its updated version. Gamora is new to the fighting series and was featured in cinematic trailers and a new gameplay at EVO 2017 along with Jedah from "Darkstalkers."

These characters will be joined by the likes of Captain America, Iron Man, Ryu, Mega Man X and much more, as they fight to save both their universes from Ultron Sigma. This could be achieved by collecting all of the Infinity Stones for total domination.

Other rumored characters that will likely appear in the fourth game are Ant-Man, Winter Soldier, Dormammu, Ghost Rider, Venom and Captain Commando.

There is also the issue of X-Men characters being absent in the sequel's roster.

The power of the Mind Stone

The gaming fans have been waiting for a new Infinity stone to surface in "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite," after someone leaked the information about the remaining stones.

The Mind Stone is stated to have the ability to throw enemies, rendering them immobile.

Its Infinite Storm will have players rise the Hyper Combo gauge faster so that they can perform their character's signature finisher in the game. Joining the Mind stone are Space, Time, Reality and Power stones.

The Soul Stone is yet to be revealed itself, but the leaked information stated that it could steal their opponent's life energy and resurrect their fallen partner during battle.

It is unknown as to when will Capcom reveal the last stone for the game.

Gaming fans will just have to wait for more details about the Soul Stone before its scheduled release date in September, along with the remaining playable characters and post-launch plans.

"Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will launch on Sept. 19 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
