It holds true that the Cleveland Cavaliers front office has received a list of preferred teams from Irving.
It includes the San Antonio Spurs, Miami Heat, Minnesota Timberwolves, and New York Knicks. But based on the recent reports, the All-Star point guard seems to be interested in joining the latter. It is worth noting that Irving requested for a trade in hopes to become a focal point in an organization.
Obviously, with LeBron James in Cleveland, it is impossible for him to reach such milestone. Irving also expressed his desire to step away from James’ shadow. While some understood his desire to pursue a different path, many were simply dumbfounded. They cannot seem to connect the dot as to why Irving would want to depart from a team that has gone to the finals thrice.
