'Breath Of The Wild' has just gotten its first expansion pack filled with new items and a challenging trial for fans to undertake. Just like the first batch of DLC, fans will have to search for the new content as the game will not simply provide the new equipment. While it may seem a bit tedious, this is actually a good way to explore the area in the game.

In line with this, one item fans can get is Midna’s Helmet that originated from Twilight Princess. Among the other items provided in the expansion pack, Link can don Midna’s headpiece to gain some bonus status buffs that can help him in combat.

Here is how to uncover the helmet after unlocking it in 'Breath of the Wild'.

Locating the item in 'Breath of the Wild'

According to Polygon, fans will have to undergo the "EX Treasure: Twilight Relic" side quest which automatically appears during the first time players start the game. The 'Breath of the Wild' DLC Quest will offer a cryptic message that hints to the location of the DLC items. To begin with, you'll have to go to the Ja Baij shrine which is found on the eastern edge of the Great Plateau. Once you get there, head northeast then paraglide down the area.

Continue walking until you stumble across the Outpost Ruins which houses Misko’s EX Journal. Reading this will update the quest log for all the DLC items and provide more cryptic messages hinting at each location.

For Midna’s Helmet, fans will have to go to the Sage Temple Ruins which is located in the east of the Jeddo Bridge. The easiest way to get there is by teleporting to the Sheem Dagoze shrine and head east onto the bridge. From there, head over to the ruins and locate two trees. There should be a pile of rubble in between them that contains a treasure chest buried inside.

It is also worth noting that there are a rusty sword and shield atop of the rubble to help locate it. Once you find it, use magnesis to dig it up and claim Midna’s helmet.

The item’s effect

In Breath of the Wild, the helmet adds a "Guardian Resist Up" ability when equipped. That way, Link will have an easier time slaying those pesky machinations roaming the fields.

You can also use the helmet along with other Guardian-related equipment to increase his defense.

Back in Twilight Princess, the helmet was made up of pure energy and worn by Midna herself. It has become such an iconic item in the series with Midna sporting it in almost every spin-off she appears in. Those who want her helmet in 'Breath of the Wild' can download the Master Trials expansion pack now.
