The highly anticipated “#Dragon Ball FighterZ” is coming to Nintendo Switch after the “DB Xenoverse 2” was released on the same platform. The news came after the announcement of the upcoming fighting title arriving on consoles and PC. More interesting news is that the game will introduce two more playable characters through a Japanese publication within the week.

In a recent interview by Destructoid during the EVO Championships, Producer Tomoko Hiroki shared that there is a chance that “Dragon Ball FighterZ” could be coming to the hybrid console if there a high enough demand. He also noted that the Nintendo Switch is more than capable of running the game [VIDEO] optimally.

Currently, the team is focused on the release of the widely-played fighting game “DB Xenoverse 2” on the hybrid console. It is scheduled to launch on Nintendo Switch in a couple of months. Interestingly, Hiroki revealed that they will talk about it further following the launch of “DB Xenoverse 2” on the Nintendo Switch.

Two new playable characters

Meanwhile, Producer Hiroki also confirmed that there are two fresh characters that will be unveiled this week for the upcoming fighting game. The characters will be revealed through the Japanese publication, V-Jump Weekly. The magazine only publishes weekly and its next release will be on July 21. However, there is a possibility that fans will no longer have to wait for that. Most often, there are many leaks that surface online prior to the publication’s official release.

Closed Beta and playable characters

Recently, the #Closed Beta of the upcoming fighting title was announced to kick off on July 26. Bandai Namco Entertainment confirmed that the closed beta will be available to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users. In addition, a new trailer has been released to celebrate the announcement of the fighting game’s closed beta. Moreover, the closed beta will feature nine playable characters. These characters include Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, Vegeta, Cell, Freiza, Majin Buu among others.

Dragon Ball FighterZ” will be released next year. The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. A possible release on the Nintendo Switch platform is believed to follow soon after.
