This year's E3 is one highly anticipated event, and during the press conference, studios have taken the time to make announcements on the latest content and games to arrive within the next 12 months. One of those studios is Bethesda Softworks, which aside from announcing new standalone story arriving to "Dishonored 2," also announced the arrival of "The Evil Within 2," which is set for an October Friday the 13th release.

The awesome new trailer was also debuted, and it features an equally amazing soundtrack featuring a cover of Duran Duran's "Ordinary World."

3-minute trailer will give players the spooks

The anticipated release of "The Evil Within 2" on Friday the 13th of October is very timely, given that it's a third-person psychological survival horror video game.

Developed by Tango Gameworks and Bethesda Softworks, the sequel comes three years since "The Evil Within" debuted on PlayStation 3 and 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, and PC.

The game followed Krimson City police detective Sebastian Castellanos as he finds himself in otherworldly realms as he investigated a murder. The new trailer opens with Castellanos running through a dark forest to find his house burning down, with his daughter still trapped inside and banging the window for help.

As he picks up her doll on the ground, a creepy black sludge takes his hand and turns white, turning into an arm that's grasping his arm and pulling him into another dimension. In what looks like "Stranger Things"' Upside Down, Castellanos walks through a house with chairs and objects that move on their own and a wall with a bloody message, "Appreciate the art."

Dead bodies hanging upside down adorn the house, and as Castellanos walk through them, he finds a murder scene in suspended animation.

He later finds himself in the dark forest, where his daughter sits among zombies. As he pushes through the crowd of undead, the leader starts a fire that engulfs his zombified daughter. The trailer, set to a cover of Duran Duran's "Ordinary World," ends with crows circling the crowd and Castellanos drowning in white sludge.

Shinji Mikami offers another horrific experience with 'The Evil Within 2'

The upcoming "The Evil Within 2," which arrives on Friday the 13th in October, is directed by Shinji Mikami, whose previous work included that for the "Resident Evil" franchise.

As per Polygon, his latest endeavor will "surely be giving us all nightmares" when it arrives this October.

The game will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. In the meantime, check out the trailer set to a creepy cover of Duran Duran's "Ordinary World" below.
