The Pokémon Company admitted a clerical error

Moreover, Nintendo Switch players are still hoping that “Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon” will be released on the hybrid console, in spite of the wrong listing.

However, The Pokémon Company insisted that it is just a clerical error and gave its statement on Kotaku.

“We would like to address rumors based on a clerical error on the Pokémon press site,” the report read. It said that the new game will be coming exclusively to the Nintendo 3DS family and will not be released on the hybrid console.

The listing fans saw on the Pokémon press site was made by mistake and not hinting any future plans of the company. “Please refer to the Pokémon Direct for more game details,” the account ended.

A new Pokémon game for Nintendo Switch

Meanwhile, a neoGAF fan named Atheerios claimed that the official Pokémon press page listed the Nintendo Switch as the future platform of “Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon,” although it was later removed.

However, the 3DS has the capability of being connected to the hybrid console so that the players could take advantage of the feature. Also, fans don’t have to worry as the latest home video game console from Nintendo will have a Pokémon game this year titled “Pokken Tournament DX” as announced by Nintendo Direct.
