Scott Cawthon, creator of the infamous “Five Nights At Freddy’s” games, has become quite the author over the past year. There’s also a movie based on the series, and while fans are wondering if he has regained the itch to create a new title, a curious Amazon listing of a “new book” showed up out of nowhere.

Up on Amazon right now is a listing for a book titled “Five Nights at Freddy’s: Survival Logbook.” From the title, one would think is it’s the next big companion text for games. But the product page is so bare one would easily doubt its validity.

Is this Scott Cawthon’s next book release?

FNaF fans all have their attention on the upcoming "Five Nights at Freddy's: Twisted Ones," a game that picks up from the 2015 novel "Five Nights at Freddy's: Silver Eyes." Following that is "The Freddy Files," the first-ever official guide to the game that aims to expose some lore and provide tips to those who want some unsolicited help.

Survival Logbook,” however, looks like it might be an activity book, which could focus on small activities for noobs to complete while they play the games. There might be crossword puzzles and themed word searches, but it doesn’t appear to get much closer to solving the mystery behind William Afton.

Is ‘Survival Logbook’ legit?

Meanwhile, some FNaF fans it might be a prank of some sort. Others over at Reddit have gotten aboard the hype train, albeit knowing the book isn’t exactly a companion text. One fan wrote: “I think the Freddy Files will cover everything. This book just seems to be an interactable [sic] activity book for the youngins [sic].”

It’s worth noting that “Survival Logbook” has no listing available over at Kindle, unlike Cawthon’s previous book releases.

Assuming the Amazon listing is legit, the implication here is that the book isn’t meant for reading from a digital device. Instead, it’s designed for actual writing, scribbling, doodling, and possibly, coloring.

“It seems there is a TINY chance this could be another fake listing. For the time being, we're assuming it's real, just keep this in mind,” read a pinned comment from the FNaF subreddit.

Cawthon himself has made no mention of an upcoming “Survival Logbook,” but the listing shows it’s slated for a Dec. 26 release, with a $12.99 tag in tow.

For now, those who find joy at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza can soon get their hands on "Five Nights at Freddy's: Twisted Ones,” out June 27, and "The Freddy Files," to be released sometime in August.
