“Battlefield 1” In the Name of Tsar DLC is coming in September 2017. During the EA Play event, Electronics Art shared more information about this upcoming downloadable content. In our previous article, we reported about the inclusion of the Women Battalion of Death. Aside from this, we have more details the things that fans are going to see when the Russian expansion arrive as part of the game’s Premium Pass.

“Battlefield 1” In the Name of Tsar DLC will introduce 11 new weapons, vehicles, and six new multiplayer maps. These maps will further expand the game into World War 1’s Eastern front.
In addition, fans can expect the Hussar cavalry aside from the previously reported female soldiers of the Women of Death Battalion. With this DLC, a player can play a Russian army of one of the female soldiers. This is also the first time that women becomes playable characters in the history of the series.
New game mode
Supply Drop game mode will also be introduced alongside this latest game expansion. Furthermore, a new means of customizing the play style will also be introduced.
Other announcements
EA also revealed that there will be monthly updates, which will include events and new maps. This summer, DICE is set to launch a couple of maps. This June premium pass owners will receive Neville Nights from “They Shall Not Pass DLC.” Furthermore, in July, Prise de Tahure will be released.
These maps both feature night maps. This summer, premium pass holders will get a total of eight maps.
A new competitive experience will also be launched for the game. However, details about this “new experience” are still not disclosed. We will learn more of its details at the Gamescon in the later part of 2017. Aside from the Russian expansion, there are more DLC coming.
Among these includes “Turning Tides” arriving in December 2017 and the “Apocalypse” in the early part of 2018.
It can be recalled that the They Shall Not Pass expansion was first uploaded to the Community Test Environment (CTE). Apparently, the same will happen to the Russian expansion, before it will be finally released.
