Ubisoft's 10-year old action-adventure video game franchise is set to celebrate a decade full of awesome content with the release of the latest iteration, "Assassin's Creed: Origins." No further details have been disclosed by the studio, but they did tell fans of the game to expect a new installment arriving by the end of March next year. It seems that the Release Date has been rescheduled earlier, as the upcoming game is reportedly set to arrive on October 27.

Release date leaked from early shipment of Game Informer

As per Polygon, the leak game via an early shipment of Game Informer magazine, which featured "Assassin's Creed: Origins" on its cover.

There's no indication which issue of the magazine it is, but it does showcase a photo of a hero standing valiantly on top of the Great Sphinx of Giza.

The caption read, "An empire falls, a brotherhood rises." This confirms previous reports that the upcoming game will find gamers in Egypt and will feature a hero called Bayek, as per Gamespot. Additional reports indicate that there will be a bird companion, as showcased in the magazine cover featuring an eagle flying above the hero.

Multiple editions of the game to be released

Interestingly, "Assassin's Creed: Origins" will also have several additions to be released come October 27.

According to a post on Imgur, the Gold Edition will include the Deluxe Pack, Season Pass, and Steelbook, which will have a price tag of about $110.

There will be three other editions to be released, each featuring different bonus material, depending on the kind of package, as with the usual with most large franchises as this one.

Fans should also expect packages with the Season Pass to get future DLCs for free.

Long history of 'Creed' video games

"Assassin's Creed" first debuted in 2007 to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Since then, several other games were released under the franchise, spawning a sequel in 2009, "Brotherhood" and "Revelations" in 2010 and 2011 respectively, a third installment in 2012, "Black Flag" in 2013, "Rogue" and "Unity" in 2014, and "Syndicate" in 2015.

The franchise also spawned a 2016 film directed by Justin Kurzel and featuring Michael Fassbender as Cal Lynch, which was lukewarmly received by moviegoers. During next week's highly anticipated E3, Ubisoft is expected to make an official announcement about "Assassin's Creed: Origins."

The Ubisoft press conference during E3 is set for Monday, June 12 at 1 p.m. PT/4 p.m. ET.
