Fans could soon get their hands on the next installment of the post-apocalyptic world plagued by zombies and other horrifying mutations. If the recent clue is accurate, it will only be a matter of time before Valve will announce the much-awaited and long overdue release of "Left 4 Dead 3." The source of this speculation has baffled many fans, however.

Latest clue

It has been a while since we heard reports about the release of "Left 4 Dead 3." Previous reports regarding this upcoming installment stated that Valve was working on the development of its game engine.

The team is allegedly also working on other elements, including gameplay and additional horror details. This information, however, has been neither confirmed nor denied, and is purely speculation at this point.

Just recently, another clue about the game's potential comeback was making rounds on the Internet. This time, the third installment of the game was dropped in a screenshot taken from news website BBC. The game was included on the official list of banned or soon-to-be banned games in Uzbekistan. Interestingly, it is the most unlikely and unexpected place to get a clue regarding a game's potential Release Date.

Banned games

Uzbekistan recently released the list of games banned in the country.

The list includes 34 games that, accoring to the government, threatens social and political stability. Among the list of games included are "Grand Theft Auto," "Mortal Kombat X," "Mass Effect," and "Dead Space." The "Left 4 Dead" franchise has also been included on this list. There are two possibilities that could arise as a result of this clue, however.

It could just be the typographical error of someone who has no idea about the game. The other possibility is that someone who knows that the game is coming intentionally listed it there.

Other speculations

In 2013, fans learned that the game was in development through an office tour of Valve. Other speculations previously reported include the possibility of the game coming out with a Virtual Reality mode.

This came from the company's announcement that it made three full VR titles. This could also be the reason why the game has not yet come out since it was reported that it is being developed. Aside from this, "Left 4 Dead 3" is also anticipated to have enhanced mechanics and weapons. New characters are also expected to be in the game with more blood, gore, and undead to boot.
