Today, Square Enix hold a live streaming from Osaka and showed the latest live-action trailer for the eleventh main series entry to the game, "Dragon Quest XI." The publisher intended this recently released video for PlayStation 4 and 3DS versions. Aside from this, several details about the restrictive feature, the RPG, and a mysterious creature were also disclosed.

Restrictive Play system

"Dragon Quest XI" will feature the Restrictive Play system. A first of its kind, this feature will permit the player to play the game but it comes with certain restrictions.This feature is intended for gamers who really want to challenge themselves playing the title.

Upon starting the game, there will be restrictions available, and as a player, you have to pick among the choices provided. There are four restrictions and one of them was revealed during the live stream event. This is the shopping restriction option, where you are not allowed to make purchases at shops. The challenge here lies in your skill searching, crafting and looting items.

Incarnation of Time Monster

Aside from the latest feature, one interesting creature that caught the attention of several fans is the white monster seen in Dragon Quest Life's website. Fans who have been playing the game since its previous installments could not recognize the monster. According to Yuji Horii, the game creator, he cannot reveal more information about the creature because he doesn't want to spoil the excitement of the players.

However, he shared that the creature is called The Incarnation of Time. He added that the mysterious creature will do some work and will be seen in several parts around the world.

Places in the game

In "Dragon Quest XI," there are numerous places that players can explore. Among the places revealed are the village of Ishii, Samadhi, and Delkadal Kingdom.

According to Horii, there are 20 areas composed of villages, castles, and towns that players can traverse as its base of adventure.

Latest trailer

The most recent trailer revealed numerous field exploration, battles, and the boss battle. Iconic characters like Veronica and Camus can also be seen in the trailer launching their respective attacks.

Release date and other details

"Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time" will be released on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo 3DS in Japan on July 29. There were earlier speculations about the game releasing in the hybrid console, Switch. However, Horii said that they cannot comment yet about the Switch as they are not allowed to say anything about it. The game is also expected to be available in other regions including the UK and the US although dates are not yet revealed.
