Prince Harry, 32, and actress Meghan Markle, 35, have been dating for almost a year. They have grown very close, and their relationship has deepened to the point that it is rumored that they could be engaged as early as August and could get married sometime next year.

According to the Daily Mail, Prince Harry is having an Engagement Ring custom made at Collins, the Queen's jeweler. It has been speculated that he would propose with a family ring when it happens. If this is true, no one will be surprised. Everyone will be pleased with a royal engagement -- with a royal wedding to follow.

Engagement might be soon

During the year, Prince Harry and Meghan traveled cross country to see each other as often as they could. They have gone on vacation together and have attended two weddings. Perhaps the next wedding will be their own.

The engagement will come first. Then the public will wait for another royal wedding. If Prince Harry proposes to Meghan next month, then there will be another wait until their wedding date. Because Harry is quite different from his brother, it will be unfair and unreasonable to think his nuptials will be similar to Prince William and Kate Middleton who became engaged on November 16, 2010, and were married less than a year later on April 29, 2011. Perhaps Prince Harry's engagement will also be a short one.

Getting ready to become engaged

Whenever Prince Harry pops the question to Meghan, it will be high-profile and will be announced officially by Buckingham Palace. Therefore, the public should not get excited until that announcement comes. In the meantime, it seems that Prince Harry and Meghan are putting things in order for an engagement when it happens.

As of now, it has been quite noticeable that Meghan has made some big changes. For instance, she has given up her social media presence. She gave up her fashion blog months ago in addition to not accepting fashion assignments. She still does work for her charities. She and Harry are planning to combine their charities when they do become engaged.

They are both very passionate about their charity work.

It has been rumored that this might be the actress' last season on the hit drama "Suits." The legal television series is in its seventh season, and Meghan has had a starring role since the series began on the USA cable network on June 23, 2011.

The public will just have to wait and see if an engagement comes next month, or if it is just a rumor.
